Adding Domains
To add a new domain to the SAN, follow these steps:
-
In SANmanager, click the Domain and Groups tab.
-
In the left pane, select the Domains folder and choose New Domain from the context menu.
-
A new domain appears in the folder. A default naming convention is used and can be changed in the Properties dialog box by selecting the domain and choosing Properties from the context menu.
-
In the Properties menu, you can also choose the new domain to be the default domain. Default domains cannot be deleted.
-
Apply the configuration changes.
Deleting Domains
When you delete a domain, you also delete all existing mappings in the domain. Application servers having virtual volumes mapped to them may lose access to their data. You cannot delete a domain designated as a default domain. In the Domains folder, the default domain name is followed by an asterisk.
To delete a domain from your SAN, follow these steps:

In SANmanager, click the Domains and Groups tab.

In the left pane, expand the Domains folder.
