Creating Mirrors in NMV Pools
You have the ability to mirror the disks in your pools to add another dimension of high availability to the SAN by creating fault tolerant pools.
Mirroring is not supported for Dual Path pools. For fault tolerance with DP pools, you must have two mirror paths and use a redundant mirror configuration. See Specifying the Mirror Path. (This must be configured prior to creating mirrors.)
To create mirrors in pools:

In the Managed Volumes tab in SANmanager, expand the appropriate pool folder in the left pane and select the appropriate pool.

In the right pane, select the disk from the list that you want to mirror, and choose Add mirror from the shortcut menu.

In the Add Mirror dialog box, select a disk from the candidate list and click OK. The pool is now fault tolerant and the pool and disk icons are changed to reflect that.

Apply the configuration.
