Pool Status

Explanation

Actions Available

Foreign Pool

Indicates that the pool belongs to another storage server and is unavailable. When a pool is created, information is recorded in the registry and disk. If a   disk is discovered and information does not match the registry, the disk is considered part of a foreign pool. Foreign pools are normally seen after pool disks have been moved between storage servers.

Option of importing the pool. This will change the status to Running. Note that disks must be available to the pool.

Read Only Running

Indicates that this is a dual path pool. Only one side is running read/write and one side is read only.

View the information.

Offline

Pool is unavailable.

Option of activating the pool. This will change the status to Running. Note that the disks must be available to the pool.

Missing Disks

Some of the assigned physical disks are not accessible. The pool is running, but I/Os to NMVs comprised of SAUs from the missing disk will fail.

Try to re-scan to find the disks. Pool is functional but some NMVs created from the pool may be inaccessible.
