Setting Cache Size

The Settings dialog box, where you can change cache size and restrict domain throughput, can be found in the SANcentral interface, by selecting Settings from the Tools menu. For information on restricting domain throughput, refer to Setting Domain Restrictions.

Setting Storage Server Cache Size

The first time SANsymphony software is started, the system will determine a cache size based on the amount of RAM in the system. This cache size may be adjusted using the Cache Settings tool.

To change cache settings:
  1. In the left pane, select a storage server to display information and adjust the cache settings.
  2. Click Apply to commit changes. You must apply after each change.
  3. After making a change to the cache setting, you must stop and restart virtualization for the change to take effect.
