SANcentral Interface Tools
From the Tools menu in the SANcentral interface, you can access the following SANsymphony tools. Review the referenced topics for additional information.

Description |
AIM Source Manager (if AIM is installed) |
The graphical user interface ( GUI) on the AIM source server that allows you to configure AIM sets between source and destination servers. Refer to AIM Source Manager. |
AIM Destination Manager (if AIM is installed) |
The graphical user interface ( GUI) on the AIM destination servers. From AIM Destination Manager, you can view source and destination volumes. Refer to AIM Destination Manager. |
Network Viewer |
Allows you to create a diagram view of your current network and modify the diagram for planning purposes. Refer to Network Viewer. |
Performance |
Provides a global view of storage-related metrics and allows you to drill down to specific parameters of interest from anywhere in the management region of the pool, including management consoles. Refer to SANcentral Performance. |
Pools Performance |
Provides a view of storage-related metrics for NMV pools. SAUs (storage allocation units) from NMV pools may be in one of three states: available, allocated, or in reclamation. Refer to Pools Performance. |
Port Database |
Discovers the ports on the fibre channel and iSCSI network, and displays all of the elements (disks, application servers, channels) that can be seen on the network from the storage server. Refer to Port Database. |
Reports |
Provides a number of reports, including Domain report, Mapping report, Volumes report, Channel report, and Network diagram. Refer to Reports and Producing a Network Diagram. |
SANmanager |
The main configuration and storage allocation tool for SANsymphony software. Refer to Navigating SANmanager. |
SANsymphony Console, Includes: |
Refer to SANsymphony Console for more information. The SANsymphony Console tools must be opened from the Tools menu in the SANcentral interface. |
Disk Manager |
Allows you to view physical disks and protected volumes on storage servers, and identifies disk candidates for Proxied Volumes. Refer to Disk Manager. |
Disk Path Manager |
Shows you the physical disks which can be seen by Fibre Channel and iSCSI ports managed by SANsymphony software. Refer to Disk Path Manager. |
Fibre Channel Manager |
Assists you in configuring, diagnosing, monitoring, and troubleshooting the Fibre Channel ports in the configuration. Refer to Fibre-Channel Manager. |
iSCSI Manager |
Assists you in configuring and troubleshooting iSCSI ports on storage servers. Refer to iSCSI Manager. |
Trace Console |
Assists you in troubleshooting Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) and iSCSI channels of the storage server configuration. Refer to Trace Console. |
Settings |
Allows you to set the cache size for storage servers and set domain restrictions per domain. Refer to Setting Cache Size and Setting Domain Restrictions. |
Snapshot Utility |
Displays Snapshot information for all storage servers in the region and various commands can be initiated on a single snapshot relationship or a group. Refer to Snapshot Utility. |
Support Bundle |
Collects system and configuration information which DataCore Technical Support can use to diagnose an issue. Refer to Support Bundle. |
