Reports

SANsymphony software provides a number of reports, including:

  • Domain Report provides class of service and mapping information for a selected domain or all domains.

  • Mapping Report provides information for all mappings in the region or for mappings for a selected storage server.

  • Volume Report provides information for all volumes in the region or for volumes for a selected storage server. This report includes all of the information in the Domain report, Mapping report, and Channel report  An empty field on the Volumes report indicates that there is no mapping for that volume in the configuration.

  • Channel Report provides information for all channels in the region, including Port Database information.

  • Network Diagram provides information for a diagram of all network components in the region.

  • NMV Physical Disks Report provides information for all disks comprising NMVs in the region or for a selected storage server.

  • NMV Pools Report provides information for all NMV pools in the region or for a selected storage server.

  • End-to-end Report provides information for all mapped virtual volumes along the path from the application server to the disk.  

 

 

Follow these steps to generate a report:

  1. Navigate to SANcentral > Tools > Reports to open the Reports dialog box for a list of reports that can be generated.

  2. Click the button for the report you wish to generate, and click Next.

  3. You will see the Choose Destination Location dialog box. Browse for the folder where you want the report saved, and click Finish.

The report file will be saved in a comma separated value (CSV) text file format which can be imported into an Excel spreadsheet.
