Support Bundle

Support Bundle collects system and configuration information which DataCore Support can use to diagnose an issue.

To create a Support Bundle:
  1. Choose Support Bundle from the SANcentral Tools menu. (Alternatively, click Start>Programs>DataCore Software>Support Bundle to open the Support Bundle dialog box.)

  2. In the dialog box, there is a listing of all the files and reports that can be collected. By default, all items are selected. Check boxes can be selected or cleared by double-clicking on the item. (Items that are not selected will not be part of the Support Bundle.)

  3. Click OK to start the collection of items which will make up the Support Bundle. A clock icon will appear to the left of an item while it is being collected. After the collection of an item completes, a green check mark will appear to the left of the item in the list.

  1. After the Support Bundle information has been collected, you will be asked whether to compress the files into a single zip file. The compressed file name contains the name of the storage server and a time stamp when the zip file was created. If you choose to compress the files or not, the support bundle can still be found in …Program Files (x86)DataCore SoftwareSANsymphonySupport… in a folder labelled with the storage server name and time stamp every time you run the Support Bundle tool.

Note: It is also possible to run the Support Bundle tool from the command line. From a CMD window, type “DcsSupportBundle -h” for options.
