Changing Destination Buffer Settings
CAUTION: The AIM destination buffer is created on the C: during installation, but must be changed from the boot drive to another local drive before using AIM. Refer to AIM Buffers for the correct specifications and create a new destination buffer, then use the instructions below to change the location in AIM.
The size of the buffer is dictated by the amount of free space on the disk partition where the buffer resides. In the Settings dialog box in AIM Destination Manager, you can change the location of the destination buffer and select the method of data transfer.
WARNING: If AIM sets exist, they must be deleted prior to changing the destination buffer.
To change the destination buffer settings, follow these steps:

Delete any AIM sets. (Refer to Deleting AIM Set Associations, if necessary.)

In AIM Destination Manager GUI, select the AIM Destination Manager component in the left pane and choose Settings from the context menu.

In the Settings dialog box:

Enter the location for the AIM Destination Buffer or click Browse to search for the location.

Select the correct Transfer Mode check box.

Click OK.
