Automatically Sending Default Markers

Use these instructions to send the default marker, “AimMarker.” This marker can be sent automatically at specified intervals.

Before sending markers, the associated activity (event or executable file) for “AimMarker”, which is to be performed on the destination server, must be defined in AIM Destination Manager, refer to Defining Marker Actions.

To send a default marker automatically:

  1. Open AIM Source Manager.

  2. In the left pane, select AIM Source Volumes.

  3. In the right pane, select the AIM set, and choose Properties from the context menu.

  4. In the Automatic Setting area, select Default Marker from the Type pull-down menu.

  5. Enter the Start Time (hh:mm) in 24 hour format.

  6. Select the Interval (hr) from the pull-down menu. The interval represents the number of hours between each marker being sent.

  7. Click OK to apply your configuration changes.

A message appears in the Source Log when the marker request has been successfully issued.
