Manually Sending User Defined Markers
Follow these steps to send a user-defined custom marker immediately.
Before sending markers, the associated activity (event or executable file) for the marker, which is to be performed on the destination server, must be defined in AIM Destination Manager, refer to Defining Marker Actions.
To send markers manually:

Open AIM Source Manager.

In the left pane, select AIM Source Volumes.

In the right pane, select the AIM set, and choose User Defined Marker from the context menu.

In the User Defined Marker text box, enter the marker to send and click OK. (User defined markers are case sensitive and can be comprised of up to 15 alpha-numeric characters, symbols, and spaces.)
You will receive a message on the screen that the marker was sent and a message appears in the Destination Log when the marker is received.
