Bidirectional Peer-to-Peer

To use AIM to send data in both directions over an IP connection, use the following configuration:

SANsymphony aimbidir1s 1d Bidirectional Peer to Peer

This diagram illustrates a bidirectional peer-to-peer AIM configuration. Storage servers SDS-A and SDS-B are configured as both source and destination. On SDS-A, changed data from the source virtual volume VolA1 is collected in the source buffer and asynchronously mirrored over an IP-based connection to the destination buffer on SDS-B, where it is destaged to the destination virtual volume VolB1. In the same manner on SDS-B, data is asynchronously mirrored from the source virtual volume VolB2 to the destination virtual volume VolA2 on SDS-A. Use this configuration to transfer data between two storage servers.
