Unidirectional Single Source to Multiple Destination

SANsymphony aimunidir1s md Unidirectional Single Source to Multiple Destination

This diagram illustrates mirroring data in a single direction from a single source to multiple destinations over an IP connection. The storage server SDS-A is configured as the source server. Storage servers SDS-B and SDS-C are configured as the destination servers. On SDS-A, changed data from the source virtual volumes VolA1 and VolA2 is collected in the source buffer and asynchronously mirrored over an IP-based connection to the destination buffers on SDS-B and SDS-C, where it is destaged to the associated destination virtual volumes: VolB1and VolB2 on SDS-B; VolC1 and VolC2 on SDS-C.

Note: AIM can also be configured to send data over an IP connection in a bidirectional manner.
