Unidirectional Single Source to Single Destination

To mirror data in a single direction over an IP connection, use the following configuration:

SANsymphony aimunidir1s 1d Unidirectional Single Source to Single Destination

This diagram illustrates a unidirectional Source-to-Destination AIM configuration. Storage server SDS-A is configured as the source server. Storage server SDS-B is configured as the destination server. On SDS-A, changed data from the source virtual volume VolA1 is collected in the source buffer and asynchronously mirrored over an IP-based connection to the destination buffer on SDS-B, where it is destaged to the destination virtual volume VolB1. Use this configuration to transfer data from one storage server to another.

Note: AIM can also be configured to send data over an IP connection in a bidirectional manner.
